Recently, a sister from another chapter slipped into a coma while awaiting her lung transplant. Ashley Dias, a Kappa Delta Phi NAS sister from the Kappa Upsilon chapter at UMass Lowell, has cystic fibrosis and has already undergone a double lung transplant in 2001 and a kidney transplant in 2005. To say she is a fighter would be the understatement of the century. Even though I’ve never personally met her, I’ve followed her through her blog and found inspiration in her daily life.
As the sisters and brothers of Kappa Delta Phi NAS & Kappa Delta Phi come together to raise money for her family, we ask that other Greek Life members keep her in their thoughts, as well as those others who are fighting this kind of battle.
